Every cell has a set of values for each of the parameters, which are called the baseline parameters. Every cell also has a set of values, computed from the above parameters at the beginning of every cardiac cycle, which are called the actual parameters.
The calculation of the actual parameters is done by taking into account the values of the external factors, such as digoxin level, oxigenation level and so on, and of the internal factors--the only one used for the moment being the actual length of the previous cycle of the given cell.
The external and the internal factors are represented in the computer as numbers, stating their value--in an arbitrary unit of measure. The cord model only contains declarations of the names of the factors, and a description of their effect on every cell.
The external factors are assumed to be independent in the current version of CLARRHMOS, i.e. not to interact between them, and to influence the cell parameters simultaneously and independently.
